We had a couple of articles launched this week that we wanted to bring under you attention. This was an interesting week, the week that ATI climbs up even further and where NVIDIA got itself into stormy weather as next to stiff competition, their shares tumbled after they announced it was facing a massive recall, due to overheating GPUs in notebook computers. NVIDIA reported higher than average failures in both the laptop GPUs and in laptop chipsets. A setback for sure yet if there is one company who can take a punch it’s NVIDIA.
Also interesting is the fact that NVIDIA this week started lowering the prices on their GeForce GTX 260 and 280. The new prices will likely level at roughly $299 and $449 respectively.
That being said, this week we published three new articles:
Radeon HD 4850 and 4870 CrossfireX performance test
Asus Xonar D2X Sound Card review
Radeon HD 4870 review – ASUS
The VGA charts have been a much requested feature by you, the readers. The VGA charts is simply put a selection of games in which we will show you performance numbers (measured by average framerate). The distinct difference review results and these charts is two-fold, in our reviews we can only show you 5 maybe 6 comparative graphics card results due to limitation. In the VGA chart you can see all the reference cards we have tested in an orderly and easy to comprehend manner.
Have a great weekend.
